If you wish to contribute to relief efforts for survivors of the Haitian earthquake but aren’t sure where to start, here’s a short list of some credible agencies that are actively accepting donations and administering aid to the area:
- American Red Cross: Donate online or simply text ‘HAITI’ to 90999 to automatically donate $10 from your phone.
- Facebook: Whether or not you are a member of Facebook, you can send your donation through Facebook Cause’s “Help Earthquake Survivors in Haiti,” the proceeds of which go to Oxfam America.
- World Vision: This organization is already handing out staples to survivors in Haiti.
- Save the Children: They have teams on the ground looking for people and organizing refuge.

I wish more people were like Mr. George Clooney. What he has done to help the Haitian people is just amazing. So many of the Hollywood celebrities are just phonies looking for publicity. George is one of the true greats.
